Nectar Spring 2016 Milanxiang Dancong Oolong
- Reviews (1)
Mi lan xiang (蜜兰香/honey-orchid scent) dancong oolong unsurprisingly honey-sweet liquor and noticeable orchid fragrance. This varietal has a profile that is very easy to accept, and part of the reason it is one of the most popular and commonly found dancongs.
Our Spring 2016 Nectar mi lan xiang dancong is grown at what is considered “mid-mountain” – an altitude of at least 600 meters. While this altitude doesn’t have the same cache as teas designated as “high mountain”, it affords good quality at a budget price. This light-medium roasted dancong has an initial nutty taste that transforms into a noticeable honey-sweet liquor with plenty of fragrance.
We recommend trying this tea in comparison with its higher altitude brother, our “Top Shelf Nectar” in order to compare the differences between same varietal grown at different altitudes.
This tea has been tested for safe levels of common agrochemicals and has passed with virtually no detectable amounts. For more details or a full copy of the report, please contact us.
