This is a beautiful example of a balanced and very drinkable young Bulang region raw puer. Using 2015 fall ancient tree material, but pressed in spring of 2016, this tea has a rather pleasant “kuwei” (bitterness) that quickly transforms into a sweetness. It maintains typical Bulang character – strong and aggressive up front, with a smooth and complex follow through.

The liquor is a gentle yellow and has a nice, well-rounded mouthfeel. This tea is equally suitable for drinking now or storing for later, and competitively priced to do both. Overall, we feel our Straight, No Chaser is an excellent bang-for-your-buck tea.
