Description
Made from charcoal roasted old bush material, Tongtian Xiang is not a common varietal for Dancong, with only very few bushes that are actively picked/produced. As with any high-altitude Dancong, the quality is immediately noticeable in the texture and mouthfeel. There is also distinct and sought-after milky texture and scent throughout.
The fragrance and flavour of this tea are very balanced, with a light, but not overbearing, fruitiness. There’s also a gentle sweetness that carries on long after taking a sip.
This is another Dancong that we recommend for experienced drinkers seeking a more complete and dynamic experience.
Please note that the 250g size does not include a tin.
$0.71-0.87/gram
We recommend brewing this tea using Chaozhou style gongfu brewing. Here’s how it’s done:

This is quite possibly the best tea I’ve ever had, and almost certainly the best dancong oolong. The aroma is absolutely huge and beautifully floral. The flavor begins with that same floral note, and then shifts to a creamy, buttery, milky smoothness. The mouthfeel is quite thick as well. The finish is quite long with a roasted nut and cacao nib note and a very pleasant bitterness. Highly recommend, especially if you’ve got any chaozhou red clay wares. This is what dancong oolongs should be.

Thick texture with average mount coating: sweet and creamy just like honey! Absolutely exquisite flower scent. The liquor taste like an elegant and fancy cold brew fruit infusion. Lovely!
