Description
Made from high mountain material, this Rougui, or Cinnamon fragrance Dancong, is a healthy substitute for those who miss their favourite childhood breakfast cereal. This tea has a strong cinnamon note (shocking, I know), sweet flavour and overall toasty warming feeling.
While these are all expected qualities for this varietal, a milky quality and slight floral scent in the back add extra layers of depth, making this a well-rounded tea that is highly enjoyable on multiple levels.

I’m tempted to brew this as strong as possible and the results were fascinating.
The main key is astringency which is transfered into warm milky tone with sweet and spicy touch, while bitterness is in control. Overall stimulating and awakening energy.
The sweet flavor and woodsy spiciness like cinnamon are persistent along the session, which I appreciated. I’m glad to see the good sequel of the last year’s Rougui Xiang.

Warm and down to earth, yet also light and playful when brewed delicately. It’s easy to tease out different qualities dependent on how you infuse this one and it seems really forgiving, whatever you do to the leaves…Not that I ever get *too* adventurous with my brewing parameters!

Great tea, but lighter than the rest of the Dancong rainbow
//Smell : Pineapple sweets, roast, cooked fruits, hot buns coming out of the oven, floral, caramel, cinnamon

Spicy scent, rolling, milky mouthfeel, and a delightful perfume that lingers on the back palate. This is a perfect cold day dancong. Very easy to avoid bitterness and astringency if you brew hot a fast.
