Our Spring 2017 Nectar mi lan xiang dancong is comprised of the same material as the 2016 version, grown at what is considered “mid-mountain” – an altitude of at least 600 meters. While this altitude doesn’t have the same cache as teas designated as “high mountain”, it affords good quality at a budget price. This light-medium roasted dancong has an initial nutty taste that transforms into a noticeable honey-sweet liquor with plenty of fragrance.

Mi lan xiang (蜜兰香/honey-orchid scent) dancong oolong has an unsurprisingly honey-sweet liquor and noticeable orchid fragrance. This varietal has a profile that is very easy to accept, and part of the reason it is one of the most popular and commonly found dancongs.

Please note that larger sizes (100-250g) do not include a tin, but will be packed inside air tubes to prevent breakage.

    Great Milan for the price Not too fancy, but Nectar is the right name, good honey like texture, smooth fruity taste but not tooo overpowering

    Is this liquid honey? Nope, this is Milan! The leaves are finely twisted (few human manipulations). The colors are amazing: golden copper, burgundy, fudgy hues. What a great mix! The floral notes hit me kinda hard at the first glance. It this orchid? The wet leaves have additionnal pastry smell. Yummy! Even if the mouthcoating is quite thin, I found the texture semi-thick. Curious of drinking floral honeyed liquor; feel free to give this tea a try.
