Slow Burn 2022 Baiying Shan Raw Puer

$7.00$250.00

Description

This consistent and lasting Baiying shan raw puer is defined by its great fragrance and sugary sweetness. These qualities persist well after taking a sip, running their own little marathon in the mouth and throat.

Made from big tree material growing at over 2000 meters, it also has a nice texture and smoothness that fills the mouth.

Other notable qualities include a gentle astringency that is typical of Lincang region teas, which works well with a gentle fruit flavour and tartness.

We highly recommend this tea for anyone looking for a standout Lincang tea. While it may not be typical for the region, it represents a good bridge to the other side of the Lancang river.

Zingy orange, warm sweetness, and green fruits. This tea is persistent, both lasting for several steeps, and lingering with a gentle aftertaste. Slightly astringent, very noticeable syrupy and soft texture. Would be curious to see how the sweetness develops with some age.

The product description gives a very good idea of what to expect from this tea. Suitable for a long and slow session since the zingy aftertaste is long lasting. The wet leaf smell is particular and stands out as it develops throughout the session. No noticeable body feel this morning. Not a tea I’ll be getting more of, but a nice tea nonetheless.

    Excellent tea. Very pleasing session!
//Smell : fruity, humid hay, cooked meal, summer vibe
//Texture: Thick and silky texture, the whole front of the mouth wiggles during a sip, teeth and gum coating
//Taste : vegetable broth, floral, hay, pleasant astringency, wet rock
//Body sensation: thick saliva, senses awake, heat production

I have to stop myself from going through this cake too quickly because I’m interested to see how this tea will develop over time. For now, though, this tea is syrupy, sticky sweet. Molasses, flowers, and a pleasantly grassy flavor will stick with you for quite a while.
