Description
Our only blended tea for Spring 2021, this tea showcases the best of the north-Bulang region. This tea is very up front from the beginning, with an expected, but not overwhelming, kuwei (pleasant bitterness). A more refined and lasting fragrance quickly emerges, along with a sugary sweetness. The mouthfeel is also a highlight, with a full texture that goes down smooth.
Made from a blend of Hekai and Nanmo qiaomu (arbor trees), this versatile tea is responsive to brewing style. Brew with a heavier hand to coax out moderate bitterness and some roughness. Remain on the lighter side to take in more of the fragrance and floral nature.
This tea is perfect when you need a good pick-me-up, offering a noticeable and pleasant energy and body feeling after a few brews.

This one builds and builds. The first couple of infusions quietly hint at things to come, the next couple bring some depth and bite and even a hint of pleasant wood smoke, and the rest of the session hits with gusto. From humble beginnings come mighty adventures!

Who can explain how a liqueur can evaporate in the mouth while covering the cheeks? At first the tea has a medium texture but it get thicker and thicker throughout the session. Taste-wise there’s salted herbs, ginger, dry herbaceous and almonds cake. Don’t drink this tea and hoping you’ll go to bed that easily. Energy, quicker heartbeat, general joy – your minds will have plenty to do instead of sleeping.

If you like sheng but are a little tired of the typical sweetness, here’s the tea you want. I agree with the other reviews that the Qi is very strong here. Perfect if you want a savory start to your day.
