Description

These are produced by a studio in Jingdezhen that specializes in only making handmade, hand-painted Qinghua (blue painted) teaware, such as these. This particular style features a floral pattern.

Each of these miniature gaiwans hold approximately 75ml (+/- 5ml) of liquid, depending on the style, and are perfect for solo sessions.

Please note that these gaiwans employ a vintage style “fanggu” glaze and therefore are not white, but predominantly grey with blue painting. There may also be one or 2 pictures that look more white, but these are not representative of the colour. This slightly rougher looking vintage look is intentional and there may be minor differences from one piece to another.

These gaiwans may or may not also have surface crackles, which could develop over time. This is also an intended feature of this style of glaze and does not indicate any type of defect. We just don’t want you to be surprised.
