Midnight Wood Fired Teapot B
- Additional information
This unglazed teapot features a beautiful blue finish, accented by green and brown drips. This appearance is 100% unique and the result of many hours straight of wood firing.
The results of wood firing teaware is dependent on many factors, including clay composition, firing duration, location and placement in the kiln, shape of the kiln, type/composition of wood being burned, and much more. This teapot was fired for several days, requiring a significant amount of wood to be used as fuel.
This teapot holds approximately 120ml of liquid and has a large muli-hole ball filter. The pour speed is quite fast, at approximately 4.5 seconds.
While this teapot is completely unglazed inside and out, the clay inside seems to be vitrified due to the high firing temperature and long duration. Therefore it does not seem necessary to dedicate this pot to one type of tea.
