Made from arbor material (aka not old tree, but also not that young), this tea exhibits a nice texture and thickness in the mouth, proving that its beauty is more than skin deep.
This tea comes from an excellent environment, having been tested against the EU MRL standard for 400+ pesticide residues as recent as 2 years ago.

The texture is the star of the show here. This tea is so soft in the mouth. It also has that classic floral Jingmai aroma and aftertaste. The energy is relaxing and spacey. It goes many infusions, far more than you would expect from a tea at this price point. Age is just a number, this tea is wise beyond its years.

I’ve been drinking a lot of Jingmai tea for the past three years. It’s an area that I like consistently, regardless of how it was processed.
I wasn’t expecting this tea to have such a wonderful aroma, tons of depth and complexity in the aroma and flavor. It also has just the smallest amount of oxidation which really brings out the complexity. This reminds me of the Jingmai “In Bloom” but with even more complexity (at least from my memory) — and two years out I’m a big fan of how that tea aged, which makes me think I should stock up on this one. Even with my excess of Jingmai material in my collection, this is special. Double cake…?

Of the new 2019 teas, this is the one I keep coming back to (although I haven’t fully worked my way through them all yet). It’s a softer, floral tasting puerh without too much bite that’s really hard to mess up. This has been a great work puerh for work, where I frequently get distracted and over-steep my tea.

Mouth is nice and fresh. Good feels. Not extremely special, but absolutely not bad. Not at all simple, but not overly interesting either. The tea can go for a decent number of brews before it gives out. I like that BT’s prices are pretty much spot-on about the quality of tea you’re getting.

I’m relatively new to puer, but this is definitely my favorite sheng I’ve tasted so far. The floral fragrance is obviously the star of the show, but it’s not the only amazing thing about this tea. It’s extremely smooth, with just a little touch of astringency that keeps things balanced and interesting. There’s also a very soothing, almost menthol like cooling feeling in the throat, and a pleasantly strong cha qi. I’m glad I got two cakes do that I can see how it will age!

Very aromatic material, a light huigan is manifested by the third infusion at the center and sides of the tongue with a touch of dryness that does not disturb. All in all it is a good tea
