These bamboo matcha whisks cover a range of fineness in terms of the amount and size of tines. The finer the grade/higher the number, the more suitable for thin tea and whisking creamy foam, while lower grades/counts are more suitable for thick tea and pastes.

In terms of high to low counts, the order is:

Shin-120-100-80-Kazuho-Tsuneho-Nagae

Please note that these grades are approximate and the actual tine count may vary, in case you get bored and count them. Also, the tips of the whisk will naturally unfold and straights out a bit within the few several uses.
