Description

These food grade, brushed aluminum tins are excellent for storing any type of tea. Each of these simple and classy tins features a tight-fitting inner lid, and looser outer lid for dust-proofing. The overall construction and quality of these tins is thicker and sturdier than normal tea tins, adding another layer of protection for delicate leaves.

Compared to clay storage jars, these cannisters create a tighter seal, however, they’re not perfectly airtight as-is. By using a thin layer of cloth or paper, a tight seal can be achieved, locking out most oxygen and making them more suitable to storing green, black and oolong teas. However, they also work well for puer, as long as the humidity level is monitored and they are opened every once in a while to facilitate some air exchange. We have personally used a larger size (~25L) for storing various dancong and black teas, experiencing great results.

These containers measure approximately 17.5cm x 26cm (diameter x height), giving them a capacity of around 6 liters.
