Buddy Houhin – Cat

Description

From the same studio as our Snow Friends gaiwans, this series is handmade by a mostly self-taught sculptor in Jingdezhen. Drawing on inspiration from artwork and museums, he translates his love of animals, especially rabbits, into his teaware and ceramics.

Inside his studio is filled with various animal sculptures in all different sizes and textures. Although the style is rustic, each piece manages to uniquely captures the essence of the animal.

These pieces are fully functional and should brew tea just as well as anything, but please note that these are entirely hand-formed pieces and are unglazed inside.
