Description
Hand made and hand painted with love by a studio in Jingdezhen, our Good Omen series of teaware brings luck and fortune to your tea table. The pieces in this series incorporate classic Chinese symbols of prosperity and good fortune, along with real gold highlights. Sporadic iron spots in the clay balance out the modern approach with an organic feel.
This piece features no ordinary horse, but rather Tang Horses (唐马). Displaying a muscular form, with a thick neck, strong legs, and a broad chest, these horses are often depicted in active poses. They are symbolic of the strength, prosperity, and cosmopolitan status of the Tang dynasty, considered a golden age in Chinese history.
