This series of teaware comes from an in-demand artist in Jingdezhen who handles each step of the creation with intention, from formulating his own clay mixture, to developing the glaze and painting the final designs.

The intention with each piece is to have an organic and unique feel to it. In this spirit, no design is repeated exactly, and both the designs and pieces themselves are intended to be unique from one another.

The clay used for these pieces tends to have grains that pop out during firing – a perfect imperfection, according to the artist, as this adds to the desired uniqueness. Unlike previous batches, the glaze will not crackle or craze with continued use.
