Imperial Blue Shanshui Gaiwan
- Additional information
This series comes from the studio of a Jingdezhen artist who majored in traditional Chinese calligraphy painting. His more recent passion has been recreating ceramics from his favourite period of the Qing dynasty. These efforts go so far as experimenting with the clay to imitate the results after firing, as well fine tuning the shade and quality of blue to match the period.
This strong fascination translates to a willingness to share knowledge and details about Qinghua style ceramics and his process of creating them.
He offers two grades of teaware in his lineup, distinguished as either apprentice or master painted pieces, with this being one of his master painted piece.
Each gaiwan holds approximately 75ml of liquid.
