Friends of the Forest Square Teapot
- Additional information
This artist’s work was a love-at-first-sight moment. Although the design and subject seems almost childish at first glance, it simultaneously has a sophisticated and delicate quality that make it feel precious.
This only becomes more apparent up close, as the handpainted details and texture reveal themselves, with clean lines and textural differences between the painted and unpainted portions. This is a labour intensive piece that effectively combines a modern design with a vintage aesthetic.
These teapots hold approximately 180ml of liquid and pour empty in 9 seconds via a very large ball filter.
Please note that due to the square design of this teapot, there can be some noticeable leakage when pouring. This can be controlled by either using less water or using a more gradual, controlled pour. The artist acknowledged this as well, but considers it an unavoidable aspect of making square pots rather than a flaw. However, we feel it’s worth mentioning in order to avoid any surprises.
