Over our many years of travelling to Jingdezhen and curating ceramics, we’ve noticed a pattern of discovery and development with new artists and studios. Within that process of development, there is always an exciting and interesting phase where the artist or studio is fleshing out their style; experimenting with techniques, but in a more sophisticated way. This is the point that this studio has reached, which has made it fun to work with them.

This series employs classic qinghua style (blue painted) designs, but with a modern twist. After all, we can never refuse a tasteful combination of classic/modern, nor east/west.

Please note that due to the handmade nature of these pieces and variations during firing, appearance may vary from one piece to another. Crackling in the glaze is also possible and normal feature of this style of teaware.
