Silver Lining Teapot – I
- Additional information
This series comes from a studio in Jingdezhen that has been producing silver glazed teapots for as long as we’ve been around – in other words, close to a decade.
After many years, they have perfected their technique and developed their own style for this often difficult style of glaze, which has gained them a lot of popularity in the Chinese market.
The purpose of silver glazed teapots is purely aesthetic, and it does not interact with or affect the tea (inside is a regular glazed ceramic). However, we always enjoy this type of teaware for how it changes over time as the surface oxidizes and interacts with oils from being touched. If you prefer, it can always be polished back to a more pure silver appearance.
This teapot holds approximately 100ml of liquid and pours empty in ~8 seconds via a large ball filter.
