White Night Half Half Teapot
- Inside the Studio
- Additional information
Made by a dedicated artist in Jingdezhen, these teapots are part of a heavily developed series that reflects the artist’s continuous pursuit of his own style. They feature an overlapping light and dark glaze and are made with extra attention to fit and finish. The inside is also glazed, making these pots suitable for any type of tea, any time.
These pots hold 130ml (+/- 5ml) of liquid and pour empty in approximately 9 seconds through a large ball filter.
Initially fairly shy and reserved, the artist behind this series has no problem opening up once talking about ceramics, the process of creating and developing pieces, and his work. This passion and focused pursuit of his own style and vision is what drew us to his work, not to mention the pieces themselves, of course.
Rather than just copy others’ aesthetic, this young artist spends a considerable amount of time and energy experimenting with various clays, glazes, and methods for construction, not only focusing on the appearance of his pieces, but making sure that they handle and perform well too.
While we can’t take you there personally, we can share a little bit of our experience visiting his studio below:
