Description
Sometimes it’s best not to oversell something. At some point, everybody has been disappointed by expectations, set up by grand claims and promises.
Initially described to us as a “Xigui-esque gushu” tea, this tea performs remarkably well for an impersonator. If you want true Xigui, then a bigger budget is necessary. But for the rest of us, this is the tea that will make your head nod.
This tea checks all the boxes: High fragrance, lingering sweetness, excellent mouthfeel, noticeable energy/body feeling, and a price that puts it in the upper budget/lower midrange category.
If you’re considering a cake of this tea, then we strongly recommend doubling up so that you have one to drink now and one for down the road.
Picking period: Pre-April 3

Yes, the name is accurate. This tea ticks all the boxes of what I look for in a young raw puer. Its aromatic, has a nice texture, has a bitterness that turns into sweetness, long lasting flavor in the throat, and it gets me tea drunk. The energy has me spacing out. Any fan of Lincang puer should definitely get more than one cake.

I tried 15gr sample and I confirm this a good choice. I ordered a 200gr cakes and waiting for it but, on the base of he sample, the tea is full of intense and good flavour. Balance between sweetness and bitterness is almost perfect, with some flower notes here and now. I’m not saying this puer is a miracle, but brewing it in the right way, will give you a really good liquor for a reasonable price. If you are not convinced yet, at least, give it a try with a sample.

Super thick mouthfeel, long lasting aftertaste, strong cherry fruitiness with medicinal qualities in the early steepings, nice light bitterness with a good amount of sweet. I more or less randomly chose this tea to buy two cakes of to do some experimenting with and I’m really glad I did – absolutely love this tea.

Beautiful floral aroma that is calming down since arrival a few months (i think) ago. This has lots of subtle complexity in aroma that carries right on into the flavor. Thickkk mouthfeel. This one indeed seems promising for aging but is wonderful right now.
