Elephant on Pause 2026 Spring Bada Raw Puer

Description

This tea comes from a forest garden with a clean environment near Zhanglang village in Bada mountain. Sitting in the stretch between the Bulang mountain range and Jingmai, Bada teas borrow a bit from both neighbors. A pleasant floral fragrance is layered over a mineral quality and pleasant bitterness/kuwei, giving it a balanced character.

Compared to teas from deeper in the Bulang range, Bada teas are noticeably more approachable. The kuwei (pleasant bitterness) is there, but without leading the dance too much. Made from old tree material, the soup is smooth, with plenty of depth and texture.

This tea represents a solid value with good ageing potential, as our 2023 pressing already shows strong development.
