This Yiwu-heavy blend showcases the best of what the region has to offer, incorporating material from high end areas of Yiwu (think Guafengzhai, Tongqinghe, and as far as Mansa) that span various years and seasons from 2017 through 2025. Meanwhile, a healthy serving of Menghai arbour area material provides a generous backbone.

The results of this blend are better than we could have expected, with each component carrying out its purpose without overstepping. The higher end teas, some with several years’ storage in Xishuangbanna behind them, fill out this tea’s body, as well as contribute a slight fruity quality that balances out the bolder Menghai material.

This tea undoubtedly has an overall sweet profile, but with so much more than that. The combinations of regions and aged material give it plenty of complexity now, with a depth that should only improve with time.
