Description
Punchy, but pleasant, our 2025 In Bloom does a fine job distilling the characteristics of Jingmai into a single tea. Strong in fragrance and body, this tea features a prominent orchid fragrance and dense soup.
Some bitterness and roughness come with the territory as well, but this is easily managed by adjusting your brewing parameters, which will put more emphasis on the florals and a honey-sweet huigan.
This mixed picking tea mostly consists of smaller tree material from a clean, well-maintained environment. However, the addition of pickings from some of the big trees growing in the same area allow for extra depth of flavour and elegance, while keeping the price affordable.

This tea is just very good. Great price point, great aroma, great flavor, great aftertaste, great qualities overall. Very sweet/floral, some honey there, very easy to like. Considering every of those aspects, this is they most balanced tea ive tried this year.

What a nice tea, wow. It’s got a bit of everything I like and I can’t find anything to nitpick against it.
Smooth, almost creamy entrance, slight roasted green impression and finishes slightly dry and quenching with a clear lychee note which permiates the palate for short time. Between the sips it builds up a juicy mouthfeel and makes me swallow the saliva often.
The wet leaf smells fruity as well, with additional beeswax and tropical fruit notes. Just a touch of astringency and bitterness makes a little bit more interesting.

I tried the dragon ball version from the Treat Yourself 2025 Raw Puer Set, then got the cake. A good tea that’s on the bolder side of Jingmai.

This is a special tea. Exceptionally well balanced with the clean honeyed and floral sweetness one looks for in a quality sheng. Wild berry sour-sweet, ranging between mulberry, blackberry and rosehip, develops into a well-rounded floral honey-water concoction. I imagine the unique floral scent that wafts from this tea comes from the flower of a dessert succulent. Flavor, aroma and texture are all executed perfectly. I am excited to try the 2023 cake after deeply enjoying the 2025 dragon balls.
