Sugar Cubes 2024 Yiwu Huangpian Raw Puer

Description

These sugary little squares are made from 2024 Yiwu gushu huangpian, the larger, older leaves sorted out during raw puer processing. Despite coming from sorted material, these deliver classic Yiwu sweetness, both in the scent and in the soup. The huigan is also excellent, lingering long after taking sip.

Puer storage for the past two years has given them a slight aging boost and rounded things out a touch. At roughly 2-3g each, the small format makes them easy to brew, whether it’s a decicated gongfu session or just tossing one in a mug/thermos. Sizes vary a bit from one to another, so brewing is more forgiving than precise.
