Description
Using Milan Xiang varietal material that would normally be destined to become a Dancong that we all know and love, this tea takes it a literal step further, undergoing a full roast and oxidizing to the point of becoming a black tea.
A unique black tea, it still stays true to its honey-orchid varietal origins. A honey sweetness and flavour dominate this tea, while an interplay of floral and fruity takes place on the side stage, with strong notes of dark cherry and orchid.
This one of the more enjoyable black teas we’ve come across, and a pleasant take on a classic Dancong varietal.
Please note that the 250g size does not include a tin.
$0.42-0.53/gram
Varietal: Milanxiang/蜜兰香/Honey Orchid Fragrance
Region: Wudong Shan, Guangdong
Altitude: 800-1000m
We recommend brewing this tea using Chaozhou style gongfu brewing. Here’s how it’s done:
For something different, you can also try cold brewing:

Delightful aroma. A perfect blend combining the comforting depth of black tea with the fruity freshness of Dancong. A first-choice premium tea. Creamy candy sensation that lingers beautifully.
// Smell: Very Dancong-like at this stage of the session — intensely floral, tropical fruits, creamy passion fruit candies, fruity dessert bread, mango sorbet, fruit salad
// Texture: Tingling under the tongue, medium-to-thick body, cool on the palate, generous mouth coating
// Taste: Zesty dessert bread, roasted nut cake with sweet and creamy icing, fruity cold brew
// Body sensation: Thick saliva, gentle warmth, uplifting, good mood

Very well balanced without being too chocolate or too sweet or too smokey. Each steeping is very good but starting with the 5th and 6th steep, it becomes phenomenal and then still gets better with rich but mellow flavor.
