Milan Overproof 2026 Dancong Black Tea

Price range: $8.00 through $105.00

Description

Using Milan Xiang varietal material that would normally become the Dancong we all know and love, this tea takes it a literal step further, undergoing a full roast and oxidizing to the point of becoming a black tea. Although an atypical processing style, this tea stays true to its honey-orchid origins while doing so.

The Milan character is very much present throughout, but this is also an excellent black tea in its own right. Baked pastry notes form the base, with the florals sitting on top and a fruity sweetness running throughout. The whole thing comes together and is nicely balanced, which is what makes this one of the more enjoyable black teas we’ve come across, and a pleasant diversion from our usual Dianhongs.

Please note that the 250g size does not include a tin.
