Description
This tea is made from the same material as our Goddess Roast Tieguanyin, but with current-year pickings, making for a great opportunity to contrast and compare aged and processing between the two.
With a much lighter and greener processing, this tea is highly floral and fragrant, accompanied by a sugar-sweetness. Fragrance isn’t the only thing on offer with this tea though. It also manages to maintain a pleasantly milky texture, as well as provide a nice depth of flavour and body, making it an great value-focused tea.

As far as green TGYs I enjoy this one quite a bit. It delivered what I expected but with a mouthfeel similar to rocket vegetables. I tried 4g of it in my smaller clay pot (75ml) and gaiwan (120ml) and the bigger vessel provided a preferable flavour to me. In the smaller vessel the tea presented an astringency that was not preferable and less complexity overall. In the bigger vessel it provided me with a nice, slightly salted buttery aroma, with backdrops of herbs, green leaves, rocket, peppers and orchids.
