Full of Beans 2026 Spring Simao Organic Green Tea

Price range: $7.00 through $60.00

Description

This tea’s name says it all, as this organic certified Simao green tea delivers a noticeable fried bean fragrance that makes it quite unique. While this fragrance is noticeable in the soup, there is also a prominent sugary sweetness. The lid also gives off an extremely sweet and fragrant scent.

This year’s tea particularly impressed us with a milky quality and great texture. A burnt sugar scent is left behind in the cup, while the spent leaves have almost a passionfruit-like aroma.

Overall, this is a very crisp and refreshing tea, and although it falls squarely into the budget friendly/daily drinker category, we highly recommend gongfu brewing this tea to bring out maximum beaniness.

Solid, sweet, satisfying. Superb Simao! Great value for the quality and versatile on the brewing front too…I’d happily share with people no matter where they are on their personal tea journey.

Simple and sweet, like spring peas. It reminds me of 2025 Fresh with the sweet pea impression, but it’s pretty mild otherwise. I brew 3g in 300ml pitcher. After drinking half I top off the pitcher with boiling water and the tea shows just a slight astringency with a touch of citrus rind oil bite. It’s making me sweat a little bit and my ears feel warm.

A luminous green that smells like calm and rest. A very pleasant, gentle astringency that naturally leads to another cup. A complete, satisfying tea at an affordable price.
// Smell: Sweet corn baked on the BBQ with butter, roasted beans, asparagus, movie-theatre popcorn, floral notes, creamy corn soup made with milk, and a rock by the water.
// Texture: Medium body that quickly dissipates, leaving a cool feeling on the teeth.
// Taste: Light vegetable soup with white beans, creamy corn soup made with milk, gentle sweetness, “spicy” hay, wet rock, fried beans and rice with baby corn.
// Body sensation: Vanished saliva, thick feeling in the cheeks and throat, cool palate, refreshing, smiling cheeks, simple calm.
