Description
This Yunnan green tea has a strong sticky rice fragrance, lent to it by the aptly named sticky rice leaf (糯米叶). This plant is completely unrelated to rice, but just happens to have this scent once dried, making it suitable for infusing teas.
The base tea has a full flavour and excellent fragrance on its own, but the sticky rice quality takes it to another level, adding a creamier quality and almost glutinous texture (although that might just be our minds playing a trick).
This tea is extremely flexible in terms of brewing and serves well for gongfu, casual drinking or taking on hikes.

After a success with the 2025, the 2026 brings more of the sticky rice goodness. It’s another winner. Compared to the 2025, the wet leaf aroma is much deeper, yet the texture and taste are brighter. Both taste similarly bold and moreish when drinking cold. A fun one to sip!
