Description
A sub-varietal of Milanxiang, this Pantao Xiang gives a clear nod to its parent with a honey sweetness that builds from brew to brew. Although this time around this tea is not necessarily the peachiest version, it’s still plenty juicy and with a fruity character. This year leans more toward a slight berry-fruitiness, rather than a straight peach note.
The early brews carry a slight woodiness, a touch of 檀香 (sandalwood) that stays elegant without overpowering anything. As the session goes on the fragrance lingers well in the mouth, with the honey notes coming forward more.
Overall this is a quite layered tea, especially across infusions. As you’d expect, the material is charcoal roasted and comes from high elevation old bushes in Wudongshan.
Please note that the 250g size does not include a tin.
$0.70-0.83/gram
Varietal: Pantao Xiang/蟠桃香/Immortal Peach Fragrance
Region: Wudong Shan, Guangdong

We recommend brewing this tea using Chaozhou style gongfu brewing. Here’s how it’s done:
For something different, you can also try cold brewing:
