Touch the Sky 2025 Spring Tongtian Xiang Dancong Oolong

Price range: $12.00 through $175.00

Description

With very few bushes that are actively picked/produced this uncommon Dancong varietal is coveted for its complex fragrance and full body.

Consistent from one brew to the next, the fragrance leans towards a magnolia-dominant floral direction, with mineral undertones and a gentle stone fruit note. A floral-honey sweetness carries on long after taking a sip.

As with any high-altitude Dancong, the quality is immediately noticeable in the texture and mouthfeel. There is also distinct and sought-after milky texture and scent throughout.

This is a Dancong that we recommend for experienced drinkers seeking a more complete and dynamic experience.

Please note that the 250g size does not include a tin.

This tea exceeded my expectations. The BLT Dancong release is one of my favorites of the year. It provided a long session with evolving flavors and notes, finishing with a sweet aftertaste that lingers for a while.

Crisp and invigorating tea. Heat + positive energy = a big boost of motivation.
// Smell: Delicious roasted notes, grilled pineapple muffin, gloriously floral, fruit salad, orange blossom dough, lemony water, clean house
// Texture: Cool on the tongue and teeth, medium body
// Taste: Mild spices, thick cream, mineral depth, floral, honey, FRUITS!
// Body sensation: Sand-like feeling on the tongue, generous heat production, excitement, desire for things to speed up

This tea is complex yet elegant. Each steep brings a mixture of floral fragrance, light maltiness, and the sweetness of blossom and honey in varying ratios. The texture has the creaminess that is reminiscent of milky oolong, with a lingering aftertaste.
