Description
This all-bud white tea comes from the same area in Kuzhushan as this year’s Gemini raw puer, delivering an extremely sweet flavour that is crisp and refreshing. There is also a noticeable “haoxiang” (豪香) or “hairy fragrance” thanks to the exclusive use of such fuzzy tips.
While this tea is more delicate with lower leaf ratio, increasing the amount of leaf produces a much bolder flavour. We recommend adjusting brewing parameters to dial in the flavour to your liking.

Great tea in general, and especially great for the price. I was afraid it would be low quality because it looks similar to silver needle, although much cheaper. I clearly didn’t have to be afraid; it might be a lesser picking or something but the needles are whole and not broken up. I’ve had teas sold as silver needle on other sites be lesser quality than this.
It is quite sweet/delicate and more than hits the spot when craving a sweet white tea. Compared to the 2022 top flight silver needle on this site it’s not as premium and the aroma isn’t as deep and nuanced, but that’s what you would expect.

This very fuzzy pile of silver buds is immensely sweet before even meeting water, reminding me of powdered sugar and fresh alfalfa sprouts. Near-clear liquor brings a little more dry-ness like hay, whereas the warmed buds are more zesty, more zucchini-ish. Beautiful visually and in the cup.
