- White Tea from Mengsong, Yunnan, with a naturally sweet soup and pleasant texture.

- Black Tea (shaihong/sun dried) from Mengsong, producing a fragrant and slightly fruity black tea that changes over time.

I enjoyed almost all the teas in this pack. The ripe pu-erh felt a little flat, but that was the only one that didn’t quite perform. All the other types were high quality and had a lot of flavor in a very very convenient package. My favorite actually ended up being the TGY, which is something I usually am not a fan of!

Very good for starters, gets you the idea for each type of tea.

Love samplers, fun way to learn what you like. The biscuits open up easily, may require more than 100ml vessel though as they expand a lot.
The white tea was great, super sweet with a pleasant earthy flavor. Gains fruity notes a few steeps in. The oolong is not heavily roasted, pretty green. Comes across as green tea with that signature oolong note that I can’t place.
Won’t go through each, but great for beginners and good price!

Good selection of sampler teas for every kind of tea drinker. Very conveniently packaged and a good amount of tea, even in bag form. Best to brew tea biscuits as you do with the dragon balls, and let the leaves steam for a bit after the rinse.

Really an excellent way to familiarize someone (in this case me) with different classes of teas in an easily-approachable way. The single serving tea-cakes made brewing these teas incredibly easy, leaving only temperature and time as the variables to worry about.
I’m working on posting reviews of the individual teas on their own respective pages, but all-in-all I really enjoyed the selection here. Both the puers were really nice introductions as someone who hasn’t really had any puers before, and the black and oolong were both really great too. Only tea I really had any difficulty with was the white tea, but it was still a really nice learning experience and excellent value.
